Visitors

Great Grandma Sherry and Great Aunt Michele came in town for a visit all the way from Virginia. We had a fun time watching Rachel go through her easter basket, coloring eggs, and making all kinds of sweets. Grams and I made chocolate peanut butter eggs to die for and let's just say those things didn't stay around long. I also found a recipe for cream cheese eggs rolled in sprinkles. YUMMY! Rachel also got to eat some sweets herself, bunny peeps sent in an easter package from Grandma Oldland.

While my family was in town we hit up the park and rode the train which everyone really enjoyed. The weather was absolutely gorgeous so we spent some time outdoors like enjoying the zoo and our outdoor mall. We all enjoyed my family's visit but I think Rachel seemed to enjoy all the attention the most. I've never seen her give so many kisses and hugs to people she isn't familiar with (it's been a year since we've seen them). At one point we were picking up dinner at a restaurant and I decided to take Rachel to the car since she was getting restless. Grams and Michele were still inside but Rachel thought we were leaving them so she started to cry and wave bye bye. She kept saying "bebe" aka "bye bye" in the most pitiful voice. I had to reassure her they weren't leaving yet and they would be out to the car in a minute. When they came back to the car she was glad to see them. This told me that the day they really were to leave wasn't going to be fun.

After dropping them off at the airport we came home and Rachel went into the room where grams was staying and kept saying "bebe" and waving. It just melted my heart to see her bond with her Great Grandma and Great Aunt. We hope to see them again soon!
