Preschool

Rachel started preschool the first week of January. She loves it and I really like it too! I wasn't planning on sending her until the new school year in August 2011 but they had a spot open up. So I decided to send her now rather than wait. She is in the 3-4 year old class and is the youngest one in the group. She is doing well but we got off to a rough start. The very first day she hit one little girl in her class. By the end of the week she got sick with a really nasty virus. The pedi thinks it was RSV (respiratory virus). Then poor Alex came down with it too. It was awful having both kids sick. I don't think I slept for a few weeks.

Finally Rachel went back to school after being out for almost 2 weeks. Then by the end of that week she came down with ANOTHER cold and she got sick to her stomach but luckily it seemed to be a 24 hour stomach bug. Poor thing was out of school again for the whole week. Then when she was ready to go back the weather turned really cold for Houston. We were hoping to get snow but ended up with some ice. The temps were down in the 20s!! So the schools here closed for the day.
