Today was the last day of summer MDO at Rachel's new school. She really enjoyed school this year and I was so thankful to have that outlet for her while we all adjusted to Alex. I was nervous to switch to a new place right after the baby was born but she adjusted quite well. I got a picture of her on her last day with her cute pink and yellow outfit on complete with matching head band. She will have a few weeks off and then start back at the end of August for the new school year.
The teacher informed me that she could start PK3 if there is still room next semester which I guess would be in January 2011. Since she doesn't turn 3 until November and she's STILL not potty trained (don't get me started) she couldn't start right now. The teacher thought she was ready and I agree. She is a very bright little girl and I believe she would do super. I think it would help give her some structure and of course reinforce all of the things she already knows, like colors, shapes and the alphabet. I can't believe my baby is so grown up already!
